Miss Moss - 4th DAN!!!!

Miss Moss took her 4th dan Graduation today and after a gruelling several hour exam, which encompassed kata, advanced kata, reverse kata, high levels of physical fitness, demonstration and knowledge of weaponry plus much more, she then had to fight in a ten man fight over 10 minutes non stop and win at least 8 of her fights to pass her graduation.  Little did she know who would be the last person to step on the mat, who happened to be none other than Shian Ary Hauer himself (6th dan Wado Ryu Karate) .  Miss Moss stood up to the best of them and managed to hold her own and passed the highly coveted grade of 4th Dan.  The first person (other than Shihan Hauer) to pass this grade with Chuldow Martial Arts.

I'm sure you will all join me in passing on our congratulations to Miss Moss on this massive achievement, both on a personal level and within the martial arts itself!

Well done Miss Moss, Chuldow is very proud of you and Chuldow Netherton is very lucky to have you as our instructor.

Mr Bedford

ps I love you sweetie, you're the best!!!

Sponsored Kick!! Friday 13th June 2008

Well the Netherton students did their bit this Friday to help Chuldow Martial Arts reach their goal of 1,000,000 (one million) kicks in one week.

The Juniors took part first and in five minutes they did a massive 1213 kicks which is absolutely fantastic!!  well done guys!

The seniors took part and combined with the instructors and the juniors we managed to do a massive 9,500 kicks, all of which was done in just five minutes which is absolutely amazing.  Miss Moss's kickboxing students from Parklands Girls High also contributed for us as well, which took the final total just over 12,506 kicks!! so you all deserve a massive round of applause and a pat on the back.

The sponsored kick ended today with the total of around 1,001,053 kicks which is a massive achievement! We will know the full total of sponsor money this week, which will be used to send the three ladies from Chuldow to the World championships which are being held in Disney World in Florida in November. So thank you so much from all of us and on Behalf of Miss Rock, Miss Watson and Miss Walker.

Sponsored Kick Practice

Tonight the Junior students of Chuldow Netherton did extremely well practising for the sponsored kick in 2 weeks time. All of the students from each Chuldow Martial Arts Black Belt Academy (Wakefield, Netherton & Sandal) will be taking part in a sponsored kick to raise money to send 3 young Instructors to Florida to compete for their country in the WKA Championships, as it is Karate and Kickboxing there is no funding available to them and these girls are still in full time education. So all the students of Chuldow Martial Arts are rallying together in style to do 1,000,000 kicks in their training sessions over a 1 week period (Monday 9th - Saturady 14th June).
Chuldow Netherton's under 8's class managed a whopping 650 kicks in 5 minutes tonight, there were 10 students taking part which was a massive 65 kicks each! And we had students as young as 3 taking part!
Well done everyone and I look forward to see how many you can do in 2 weeks!Smile

    Hi Jonathan
Thank you for your comments and your very welcome. That is how we are, help is always there for those who want and need it. It also makes the world of difference when students are devoted as yourself, and although you have only been with us for a short space of time you have shown commitment that is second to none. Equally although we have only known you a short time we were immensely proud of you on saturday, as you you should be of yourself. It is an honour to call you our student.

Dear Mr. Bedford and Miss Moss

I just wanted to take a moment to write to you to express my thanks for the extra help you gave me yesterday and today before the Fight Club.  It is people like you who make learning this sport more fun and enjoyable, simply by taking the extra time it takes to ensure that all are comfortable with the content and understand it well.Once again, thank you,
    Jonathan Sedgwick
